2016 Yamaha XSR900 – something to feast your eyes on.

Modern tech and retro looks combined well will always do the trick and that’s the new 2016 Yamaha XSR900 in a nutshell. Yamaha’s eye-catching product features the amazing FZ-09 platform that’s meant to evoke the XS line of twins and triples of the 70s and 60s. Thus, giving this machine the cafe retro style that’s hard to miss.

Design details like the cool taillight and the round headlight significantly change the look of this thing along with the redone bodywork. Underneath it all is the  “CP3” 847cc triple belts out killer power (115 hp). ABS that’s lifted from the FJ-09 and traction control take it up a notch from the from the entry-level FZ-09. In addition, the wheelbase spans 56.7 inches and the frame is aluminum diamond.

On the face of it, Yamaha seems to be influenced by the current custom-bike scene and according to the company the bike was developed with input both from the European and the US market so, it’s only fair to say that they are on the right track. 2016 Yamaha XSR900 video below!
