Hellcat-powered Ram pickup has finally come to life and it’s awesome
Needless to say, this is genuinely , the first Hellcat-powered Ram ever built and it is a truly running and driving beast.
According to the general manager of Midland Chrysler, Josh Hatton, the dealership bought a crate Hellcat engine from a South Carolina dealership. This cost them $45,000. Then, they mated it to the truck’s stock 8-speed Torqflite automatic and 4-wheel drive transfer case.
Exactly, this is the only 4-wheel drive Hellcat in the world.
Furthermore, the dealership has been working on this build since November of 2015. Most of the time, the crew has been sorting out electronics woes and wiring. It surely took a lot of work to make everything function like stock. Especially, given the fact that Dodge has never offered a 6.2-liter V8 in the Ram 1500.
The dealership also modified the firewall and oil pan on the Hellcat-powered Ram. They have also reprogrammed the power-trail control module and relocated the battery.Midland also had to install a body fit because of the tall, supercharged engine.
The result is this – a truck that functions like a factory Ram but, with a lot more power to it.
