Ken Block Gymkhana Nine – this time at a raw industrial playground!

Ken Block Gymkhana NineKen Block Gymkhana Nine – this time at a raw industrial playground! The video was made in partnership with Forza Horizon 3 and was originally supposed to be filmed in Australia. But the New South Wales Police were less than keen on the idea. So instead of burning rubber around the Sydney Opera House, we’re treated to eight minutes of madness in an industrial wasteland also known as Buffalo, New York.

Our favorite Hoonigan is having fun at few industrial sites in Buffalo: The Central Terminal, the Outer Harbor and the South Park Lift Bridge. There’s some sick driving in this video, with a few close calls, including Lake Erie and a train!

Ken Block Gymkhana Nine – this time at a raw industrial playground!

Gymkhana Nine stands in direct contrast with the polished, moneyed locale of Dubai from Gymkhana Eight, and all for the better. We’ve all fantasized about hooning the crap out of every loosely monitored, possibly abandoned space in our hometowns. Gymkhana Nine brings the hoonage back to reality, with Block popping out of an eerie looking old station to terrorize the pavement.

This time for Gymkhana Nine, Ken Block is drifting his Ford Focus RS RX, a car which had never ventured outside its World Rallycross duties until now.

Regardless of the fact that the videos aren’t shot in a single take, there are still some edge-of-the-seat moments; particularly when you appreciate the fact that there are only two Focus RS RX race cars on the planet, and Block needs his for his day job over in Europe. This is one of the best Gymkhana videos Block’s put together in ages. More close shots. More death cheated, especially with that insane train stunt. We’ve been waiting patiently for Ken Block Gymkhana Nine, and now we’ve been rewarded. Let’s check it out!
