This video is a glimpse inside the diesel house in Copenhagen. Back in the day, Burmeister & Wain (B&W) built the CM 884WS-150. Built in the 1930’s this massive engine was the first of its kind!

Starting The World’s Largest Diesel Engine!

The beast of an engine is almost 70′ long and over 3 stories tall. It’s an eight cylinder diesel engine that still produces 15,000kw (22,500 hp). Used mainly as a tourist attraction today, it is fired up the first and third Sunday every month for about 5 to 10 minutes at a time. The engineers take meticulous care of the this behemoth machine down to the last nut and bolt!
