Midnight rider – The biggest and most expensive limo in the world

Midnight riderMidnight rider is not a regular limo; it’s a limousine that made its way into the  Guinness Book of World Records.

Do you want to have a nice time while on the road? Or maybe you are hitting the road to Vegas and you desperately need a unique ride? Well, look no more. The Midnight Rider is exactly what you need. It’s the heaviest limousine in the world and it is bound to provide some fun time.

As you would already expect, the Midnight rider is not what you’ve expected from a limo. It’s actually a tractor-trailer limousine and it is in a class of its own. But tractor-trailer or not, there is still room for pole dancing.

The Midnight Rider is 70 foot long and weighs 22,933 kg. The builders built it between 1977 and 2004 somewhere in Southern California. In addition, they have licensed it to travel throughout the USA. Don’t worry, it is big and wide enough to accommodate 40 people.

Midnight rider – The biggest and most expensive limo in the world

Midnight riderThe Midnight Rider has got  4,200 parts fabricated in-house and that’s about 90 percent of it. That’s one of its features that makes it incredibly unique. Its aluminum belt is 16 times thicker than those found on conventional, big rig. That’s pretty understandable considering the fact that this is a vehicle that needs a solid and safe frame. It trailer employs an H-frame stainless-steel construction, which along with the belt and aircraft-quality welds, make sure the interior party space is secure.

What provides the towing power is an  A 435 HP Peterbilt 379 tractor. Keeping the mammoth mobile disco in check is the rig’s 22 wheels and over-sized brakes.

If you want to rent this thing then you’ll need “$1000 per hour” ready in your pocket. It isn’t cheap but, the Midnight Rider is not a low class vehicle – it comes with a crew of five: a hostess, two drivers, a bartender and an operation specialist.
