Starting a truck in West Bengal India like a boss!!

Starting a truck without battery is not that big of a deal in India! Just when we thought that we know and have seen everything about trucks this video pops out of nowhere! Apparently, in West Bengal, India starting a truck is not an easy job, especially if you don’t have strong hands.

It’s a classic push start, a method of starting a motor vehicle by engaging the manual transmission whilst the vehicle is in motion. The most common way is to put the manual transmission in second gear typically, switching the ignition to on/run, depressing the clutch, and pushing the vehicle until it is at a speed of 5 to 10 mph (8 to 16 km/h) or more, then quickly releasing the clutch to make the engine rotate and fire, then quickly depressing the clutch so it does not stall. This is done by one person pushing a lightweight automobile, pulling or being pushed by another vehicle or even rolling down a hill.

Well, except that this is a heavy truck, so classic methods won’t do. At the begging of the video there is a rope tied through one of the wheels. It may be extraordinary or funny, or maybe you’ve seen it before, but we gotta give it to them, it is a smart move. Check out the video!
