2017 Chevrolet Bolt – The new savior of affordable-EV market is here

2017 Chevrolet Bolt2017 Chevrolet Bolt – just what the EV market needed.

So, what makes the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt that special? Well, a lot of things, it just all depends on what you’re actually looking for in an electric vehicle. Needless to say, the automaker didn’t joke around when designing the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt – everything is on board.

As in any other car that’s out there, electric or not, we first want to hear the price. Even though, GM hasn’t released exact pricing, rumor has it that it will be around $30K. It is pricey; however, no other EV can match the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt ‘s mile range. As a matter of fact, it is double that of the longest-legged Nissan Leaf – 200+ miles.

Now, the Leaf is the top-selling model and that’s no coincidence. Though, we have to say that the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt is looking pretty confident to make its place at the top of the class.

2017 Chevrolet BoltThe 2017 Chevrolet Bolt has a 60-kWh LG lithium-ion battery and promises similar range as the  Tesla Model S 60. That is, of course, for nearly half the price. The electric motor, on the other hand, puts out 200 HP and 266 lb-ft of torque. Chevy claims that this is enough for the Bolt to hit 60 mph in 7 seconds.

So yes, we’ve established that the Bolt may turn out to be better that the others of its kind when it comes to range and power. However, there is more to it. You wouldn’t think that Chevy and GM will leave it at that, would you? Just look at it- it has perfect proportions, all the distinctive technology and efficiency is written all over it.

Nevertheless, what I like the most about it is its spaciousness. The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt provides enough room for everyone and everything you are planning to take with you. That has to count, too. Check out its debut at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show!
