2017 Ford F250 Super Duty is joining the platinum cabal

2017 Ford F2502017 Ford F250 is that Super Duty truck that nobody thought would see. Back in 2014 when Ford pulled the wraps off its 2015 F-150 aluminum design, everybody were pretty amazed. However, the crowd did whisper that Ford could never pull off something like that with their Super Duty trucks. Most of them are used for actual work. But, Ford went for it and here we have the 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty truck.

You can’t mistake the 2017 Ford F250 for anything else. The fascia retains the same almost-futuristic theme but, the automaker did move some things around. Now, the 2017 Ford F250 is committed to the LED craze. The only thing left are the turn indicators to sweep back into the fenders. Another thing that remains the same are the oversize wheel flares which Ford blended more smoothly into the rest of the body now. The grill on the 2017 Ford F250 is a hybridization of some previous styling efforts we’ve seen on Ford’s model.

2017 Ford F250 Super Duty is joining the platinum cabal

2017 Ford F250The 2017 F250 may be all about the platinum but, steel is utilized for the fully boxed frame. This one is composed of up to 95 % high-strength steel and is 24 times more rigid that the one from the previous Super Duty.

The reason for 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty’s existence is, of course, towing and it stays on task. Ford reduced the amount of wheel input needed for low-speed operation with adaptive steering. Furthermore, at higher speeds it reduces sensitivity to steering. As this truck is about work, there are up to 7 cameras available. These help the driver to keep an eye on the surrounding, including 4 HD cameras providing a a 360-degree bird’s-eye view.

Moreover, there is automatic braking available with adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning and in-cab tire-pressure monitoring. The blind-spot warning is still available on the  2017 Ford F250.
Engine choices for the  2017 Ford F250 haven’t changed much. There is the 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission for the Ford F250. In addition, Ford offers the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 turbo-diesel that tops the list in terms of torque and HP. Check it out!
