Volkswagen Snowareg dominates snow-covered areas with style!

We may imagine the Volkswagen Touareg as something more down to earth, but the people at Volkswagen Sweden saw it as a rally-ready monster so, they swapped out the wheels for a new set of tracks. That’s how the Volkswagen Snowareg came to life, a beast that participated in the 2014 Rally Sweden.

We don’t know much about the Snowareg but we do know that the most important detail on it is the Mattracks-sourced set of tracks. It’s just a small change that cost about $38,300 but it makes huge difference. VW’s 4.2-liter turbo-diesel V8 lays under the hood of the Snowareg and it puts out 335 HP and 590 lb-ft of torque. It’s also pretty safe to bet that it is riding on a modified, lifted suspension system as well.

This snow-destroyer is covered in white paint with rally-ready decals, the V8 is capable of spinning those mean tracks, and most of all, this thing seems to be unstoppable in the snow, drifting through curves and climbing hills. Check it out!
