Mining trucks keep on getting bigger and bigger, as miners increasingly opt for huge capacity trucks with greater operational efficiency.

The BelAZ 75710 is an ultra-class haul truck by Belarusian manufacturer BelAZ built in October 2013 under an order from a Russian mining company. At 450 metric tons, it is the world’s largest, highest payload capacity haul truck.

The BelAz 75710 has a conventional two-axle setup, but with dualled wheels, and because of that, it needs eight large-size Michelin tubeless pneumatic tyres. Quite unusually for trucks, this one has a four-wheel drive and four-wheel hydraulic steering. The turning radius is 65f (20m).

Fuel consumption is an estimated 1,300 litres per 100km, however the truck, can be run on just one of it’s engines when it is not loaded in order to save fuel. World Biggest Truck video below!
