Dick Simon walks away from a disastrous crash without a scratch!
Dick Simon is one of the oldest men that have ever raced in the Indy 500. However, this legend that was once a CART/IRL team owner, despite all his achievements that we truly admire is also well-known for his epic crash. As he was running 4th at Riverside on a straight stretch, his left rear suspension broke when he reached 190 mph. Now, that sent the car up and embankment, 12 times, over and over again. It’s one of the most bizarre crashes that we have ever seen and yet, Simon walked away from it without a scratch. How on Earth do you survive such a thing? Well, according to him, a true racer doesn’t get bothered by accidents.
Sure, Dick, whatever you say.
