Driftworks’ S15 with 2JZ GTE through the building process! This crazy rocket bunny is one of Driftworks’ finest yet! The plans for this car have never been to keep things simple… as you can probably tell. The biggest change is the 2JZ GTE 3.0 Supra engine, with a GT35, running minimun 590bhp, and using the 6 speed Getrag gearbox. All of this will be pushed back through the bulkhead 8 inches to get some balance back with the longer and heavier 3 liter lump.

Off came the high mount GT wing, and in its place a D-Max roof and boot lid spoiler were fitted. Together with a brand new set of Rota GTR-Ds in satin black. These two simple things have completely transformed the way Driftworks’ S15 sits – it looks even wider than before!

“It actually stemmed from Federal Tires now being able to make the incredible 595RSR tire in a 285/30/18. This meant we needed new wheels. So working with Rota Wheels UK, they made us some 18×12 Rota GTR-Ds. The graphics and wing change were something I wanted to do for a while.”, says Phil, the owner.

When asked about what was the inspiration behind the S15‘s new look, Phil said that most of his street cars were black and aggressive! We totally agree and we like the new look! Approved by Ridingmode! 😉

Driftworks’ S15 is the result of the tasteful fabrication skills of Julian Smith from Garage-D and the endless creativity of Driftworks! The engine itself has been tweaked and changed over the years since it was built. but the biggest change for 2010 comes from the new ECU by a company called Syvecs that’s been tuned by Driftworks’s friends Protuner, resulting in an engine that’s running better than ever.
