Here we have a jaw-dropping footage of a crash during this year’s NHRA races! Larry Dixon’s dragster snaps in half and goes airborne at a NHRA race! Larry Dixon, Jr. is an American professional drag racer in the NHRA. Larry is the son of Larry Dixon, Sr., who won Top Fuel Eliminator at the 1970 NHRA Winternationals. He holds the second place for most wins in top fuel dragster category (69), right after Tony Schumacher (80).

This crazy accident happened during drag racing, and the race car broke in half while moving with 262 MPH. First the car hops off the ground like a rocket ship. The left lane dragster snapped in half and flied up in the air and crashed down.¬†Fortunately, Dixon wasn’t hurt this time, he just walked away alive and well. I say this time, because he had similar crash in 2000 in Memphis. He was heavily injured and had to be rushed to the hospital with a helicopter! But this time he is OK and the reason is maybe the advanced safety measures and precautions. After all, there’s a significant difference in technology and safety between 15 years ago and today! Safety first!
