As you know when Ford launches a new Mustang, it always takes over the SEMA show. Well, such was the case with the Mustang GT that made its debut at the 2014 SEMA show. Ford, of course, recognized the opportunity to make something more of their then latest piece. Because of that, tho company made its decision: they are to collaborate with the folks at Petty’s Garage for a new limited-edition fastback.

When the preparations were done, Ford and Petty decided to produce only 143 examples of the so-called Petty’s Garage Mustang. There are 100 examples of the Stage 1 Richard Petty Mustang setup and only 43 examples of the Stage 2 Richard Petty Mustang. As soon as they told the world the news, Brian Johnson of AC/DC ordered the first Stage 2 Richard Petty Mustang.

Richard Petty MustangThe Richard Petty Mustang, that you’re about the see in the video below, is one of Stage 2 builds. This ride puts out 627 HP from under the hood and features a Ford Racing/Roush supercharger.

This Stage 2 Richard Petty Mustang also nets drivers a Wilwood big brake kit. In addition to that, it also features a custom 2-tone paint job and 3-piece HRE wheels. The paint formula that we see here uses tumbled and crushed glass with Petty blue for lower half. On the other hand, the upper half is covered in tuxedo black.

Moreover, this Richard Petty Mustang will wear the Petty’s Garage fascia in front, a center exhaust, and a reworked rear. Inside, the buyers will get floor mats, embroidered head restraints and Richard Petty’s signature on the dash.

The Stage 2 Richard Petty Mustangs starts at  $92,210, while the stage 1 car costs  $62,210. If you want to order one, all you have to do is find a Ford dealership. Check it out!
