We’ve seen engines running from the outside, but have you ever wondered how an internal combustion looks like? The video below is a demonstration of a of the inside of a 4-cycle running engine.

Take a Look Inside a 4-cycle Running Combustion Engine!

In the first cycle, the piston travels down the cylinder bore drawing in a fresh fuel/air charge. In the second cycle, the piston ascends compressing this charge now trapped within the chamber. In the third cycle, the spark plug ignites the compressed mixture causing a rapid expansion of burning gases which now propel the piston back down the cylinder bore. And in the fourth and final cycle, the piston now ascends again to expel the now unwanted exhaust gases. The process then repeats.
